The SIOR Designation is a professional accreditation for the most highly qualified and successful real estate practitioners. Our designates carry an exceptional transactional history in brokerage, fee-based services, or executive management.
Within SIOR Designation there are six categories that identify you as a specialist in certain real estate disciplines. They are:
Regardless of your specialist area or specific role, every SIOR designee carries the highest level of knowledge and is recognised as such by developers, lenders and investors. This reputation is backed up with quantifiable success and a commitment to the kind of continual professional development that maintains your position as the very best in your field.
If you hope to become an SIOR in an industrial, office, dual, or advisory role, you will be expected to have a minimum of five years full time active engagement in commercial property. You will also be able to demonstrate an exceptional professional record that can be verified by your managing broker, CFO or a CPA.
Demonstrate a credible record of experience in industrial and/or office real estate brokerage, sales, leasing, transaction management, or marketing for the most recent 48 months by completing the International Production Verification Affidavit.
You will also provide formal endorsements from two Active Individual SIOR Members, or, if you are not known to two members, endorsements will come from senior executives in your firm.
Exception: If the applicant does not know two Active Members, one endorsement can be from a senior executive within the applicant’s firm. In addition, if there are less than three Active Members in the applicant’s country, s/he may obtain endorsements from two Active Members within the same firm or network.

In addition to your experience and endorsements, you must have completed a minimum of five (5) industrial and/or office transactions in each of the most recent four (4) 12-month periods.
In addition to the requirements set out for Industrial, Office, Dual or Advisory Designees – but will also demonstrate quantifiable success as a manager of at least 10 or more salespeople or brokers over a minimum of five years
You will also meet the requirements set out for Industrial, Office, Dual or Advisory Designees – but will also demonstrate experience and success as a manager of at least 100 salespeople or brokers in three or more locations - or for an overall real estate network. This experience must span at least five years.
