Pres. Lech Walesa was born September 29, 1943 in Popowo, Poland. He helped form and led (1980–1990) communist Poland’s first independent trade union, Solidarity. The charismatic leader of millions of Polish workers, he went on to become the president of Poland (1990–1995). He received the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1983.

Dr Paul Redmond, author, keynote speaker, employment guru, is a leading expert on generations and the future of work.
Paul was recently appointed Director of Student Experience and Enhancement at the University of Liverpool, and is one of the UK’s leading experts on the graduate employment market. During his career he has worked at a number of leading universities and has been responsible for guiding the careers of thousands of students and graduates. He has presented at numerous conferences and events around the world. In addition to writing regularly for national newspapers and other publications, he is a frequent guest on both radio and TV, appearing on numerous BBC and independent news and current affairs programmes. Since 2014, Paul has produced a regular, and highly popular, diary column for the UK’s Association of Graduate Recruiters magazine.
Paul’s research into ‘Generation Y’ (aka ‘Millennials’) and their impact on organisations has garnered him praise and respect from a range of national and international organisations, for which he provides consultancy.
Paul’s media work includes numerous BBC and independent news programmes and bulletins. In 2011 he collaborated with the BBC and Tiger Aspect in the making of ‘Who gets the best jobs?’ a groundbreaking series of documentaries on the impact of social class on the graduate job market. Paul’s work on the rise of the ‘Helicopter Parent’ had led to appearances on numerous BBC and independent TV programmes, including the Jeremy Vine show.
Paul is the author of several books, including the best-selling ‘The Graduate Jobs Formula’, a new edition of which is planned for later this year, and the forthcoming ‘Zombie Jobs’. He has also written and published numerous other reports, studies and research publications.

Richard Baldwin is Professor of International Economics at the Graduate Institute in Geneva as well as President of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) in London, and Editor-in-Chief of the economic policy portal VoxEU.org (which he founded in June 2007).
Before coming to Geneva, he was a Senior Staff Economist for the President’s Council of Economic Advisors in the Bush (the Elder) Administration (1990-1991) following trade negotiations such as the Uruguay Round, NAFTA and numerous US-Japan trade disputes.
He has been a visiting professor at Oxford (2012-2015) and MIT (2002-2003 & 1998-1999), having started his academic career as a professor at the Columbia School of Business in New York.
The author of numerous books and articles, his research interests include international trade, globalisation, regionalism, and European integration. His latest book, The Great Convergence: Information technology and the New Globalisation, was published by Harvard University Press in November 2016. He provides advice and consultancy for numerous governments and international organisations on international trade issues.
He wrote his PhD at MIT under the guidance of Paul Krugman, with whom he has co-author a half dozen articles. His MSc in economics is from LSE, his BA in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and he has honorary doctorates from the Turku School of Economics and Business in Finland (2005), the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland (2012), and the Pontifica Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), in Peru (2014).
He was Vice Chair of the Academic Advisory Committee of the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington (2008 – 2012), and an Elected Member on the Council of the European Economic Association, (1999-2004, 2006-2011).

Paul McDowell has over 40 years’ experience in the property industry. Paul began his career in 1975, then joined Ganly Craigie in 1979, out of which Ganly Walters was formed in 1985, where he was a founding owner director. He became MD of Ganly Walters in 1988, which then became part of the Knight Frank Group in 2007, where Paul remained managing director of Knight Frank Ireland until 2013.
Paul acted as Head of Investment for Knight Frank Ireland, where he focussed on Ireland, UK and European transactions. He has undertaken the disposal and acquisition of primarily Retail and Office deals, combined with strategic development advice and a knowledge of structures/funding issues.

Anna has 18 years of professional experience, of which the past eleven have been focused on asset management, investment, leasing and finance within the CEE and Polish property markets, with particular emphasis on retail and outlet as well as office sectors. Prior to joining IRE, Anna worked for Colliers International Poland, AIB Polonia Property Fund and KPMG. Charles is a 30-year veteran of the French real commercial property scene, beginning his career in 1987 with Weatheralls in Paris before the management buy-out and sale to Savills in 1998. He founded tenant consultancy TPS in 2004, the first ‘pure tenant rep – no conflict’ adviser in the market. TPS supports businesses in developing and implementing their property strategies, matching the right commercial space and environments to their operations.

Jim was born and raised in New York City where he retains strong family roots and long-term friendships. He graduated from Kenyon College in 1981 with a B.A. in History and began his professional career in Los Angeles working for a succession of large and small industrial real estate brokerages.
After 15 years practicing real estate, Jim opened Klein Commercial Real Estate in 1997. KCRE maintains an office in downtown Gardena and has specialized in industrial property throughout the Greater Los Angeles region. Recent clients include major developers, international corporations, and private investors, in sale, lease and patnership transactions.
Jim holds Brokerage licenses in California, New York, and New Jersey and is frequently involved transactions across the U.S.

Martin Polák is senior vice president, regional head Central and Eastern Europe. He oversees all activities of Prologis in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. This includes new developments, customer relations and working with local development teams. He is also responsible for the performance of all operating properties in Central and Eastern Europe.
Polak joined Prologis in 2008 as leasing manager for Slovakia, and has since held various positions and overseen many of the company’s successful projects in the Czech and Slovak markets. Justin Hildebrandt
As Managing Director of European Real Estate Development, Justin is responsible for generating new business including identification, coordination, and implementation of all real estate investment transactions throughout Europe for USAA Realco-Europe, B.V., the Dutch subsidiary of USAA Real Estate. USAA RealCo Europe, B.V. is headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and is actively engaged in developing, acquiring, and managing institutional quality real estate investments with a primary focus on pan-European logistics development and investments. USAA RealCo Europe has a European investment platform via its prime investment vehicle Mountpark Logistics EU Sarl, a joint Venture between USAA RealCo Europe and Mountpark Finco. Justin is involved in all aspects of the development process including sourcing transactions, joint venture and contract negotiation, market and property underwriting, due diligence and closing.
Prior to relocating to Europe, Justin oversaw equity and debt investment activity for USAA Real Estate in the Pacific Northwest (San Francisco Bay Area, Portland, Seattle, and Salt Lake City). Prior to joining USAA Real Estate, Justin was Vice President of Bentall Kennedy where he was responsible for identifying acquisition, development, and debt opportunities in Northern California, the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, and Nevada across the major asset classes.
Justin is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley. He was previously on the Board of Directors of NAIOP San Francisco Bay Area, is a LEED Accredited Professional, and maintains a professional affiliation with ULI on its European Logistics Council. Justin speaks English and German and is proficient in Dutch.

Dorothy Dabrowski
Dorothy Dabrowski has been the Managing Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland since 2002 where she is responsible for keeping the organization active, esteemed, and well-networked. The Chamber focuses on activities that improve the business climate in Poland while fostering a positive relationship with local and national governments. Under her leadership, it has grown into an organization with over 300 members, a league of active working groups, and flagship events like the “AmCham Diner”.
Ms. Dabrowski has served on the Executive Council of AmChams in Europe, was a founder of the Polish Professional Women Network (PWnet) as well as a juror in the “Złote Spinacze” PR awards, for Students in Free Enterprise (now Enactus) and other competitions. She is also a Competent Toastmaster.
Before coming to the Chamber she worked as an accountant at PwC and Shell, a journalist at the Warsaw Business Journal, and ran a cargo company for four years. Ms. Dabrowski graduated from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin in 1992 with a BA in Economics and Slavic Studies. She earned her MBA from the University of Calgary at the Warsaw School of Economics. She is a native of Texas, but has lived and worked in Poland since 1992. She has one daughter.

- He served at AUCHAN RETAIL INTERNATIONAL for nearly 40 years. Last 20 years, he was in charge to run the business of AUCHAN first in Poland and then in different countries in Central and Eastern Europe. He is a former Chairman of AUCHAN POLAND, RUSSIA and UKRAINE.
